Wood Disposal

Waste Services, Handlers, & Landfills

Discover landfills, transfer stations, handlers, and service locations that accept Wood.

Many municipal waste services won't pick up large pieces of wood with residential trash collection, unless it is cut up into small pieces or other regulations are followed. Fortunately, wood is often desirable for recycling into woodchips, or for use as fuel. Be careful though, some types of wood, such as pressure treated and fabricated wood such as plywood are not recommended for burning as toxic chemicals can be released.

Recycled woodchips can often be used in landscaping, animal bedding and on playgrounds.
