The Three Corners Regional Landfill (Three Corners) and Alabama Waste Disposal Solutions provide nonhazardous waste collection and disposal services to residential, commercial and industrial customers from Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Three Corners is authorized by the State of Alabama to accept waste from 23 counties of Alabama, 5 counties from Tennessee and 24 counties from Georgia.
Three Corners began operations in 1998. The landfill is incompliance with EPA’s Subtitle D and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management regulations. The landfill is located in the southwest corner of Cherokee County on County Road 6.
The landfill is located on rugged terrain with rolling hills in an area of approximately 467 acres. The area is sparsely populated and the landfill is mostly surrounded by farmland and forests.
Three Corners can accept residential waste, commercial waste and industrial waste for disposal. Among the special wastes accepted are asbestos, contaminated soils, process wastes, sludge, among others. No liquid waste is accepted for disposal.
Alabama Waste Disposal Solutions services over 13,000 residential customers and over 1,000 industrial and commercial customers in various counties surrounding the area.
